We are looking for perspective students to join our research team .

Robotics

What You’ll Do:

  • Develop, test, and deploy core robotics software, including manipulation(robot arm), navigation, and perception.
  • Work with a team of researchers in and outside of JHU to implement AI-driven robotics solutions. We have collaborators across the nation that you might be in contact with.
  • Optimize software for performance on real hardware.
  • Contribute to all phases of development, from design to deployment.

Qualifications:

  • Experience with Python and C++ for robotics software development.
  • Proficiency in Linux, Docker, and Git.
  • Knowledge of robot kinematics, motion planning
  • A BS with robotics experience

RAG-LLM

What You’ll Do:

  • Collaborate with researchers at JHU and nationwide to implement LLM-driven retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) solutions.
  • Build and optimize multi-modal databases for efficient retrieval and augmentation of knowledge. Enhance retrieval strategies, vector indexing, and hybrid search to improve system performance.
  • Contribute to all phases of development, from architecture design to deployment.

Qualifications:

  • Experience with Python and UI development.
  • Proficiency in Linux, Docker, and Git for scalable development and deployment.
  • Strong knowledge of LangChain, Knowledge Graphs, and vector databases.
  • A BS with hands-on experience in AI-driven applications.

LLM-based Game Agent

What You’ll Do:

  • Develop, test, and deploy LLM-powered game agents, focusing on decision-making, strategy, and interactive behaviors.
  • Work with a team of researchers and developers to implement AI-driven game intelligence solutions.
  • Optimize LLM inference, prompt engineering, and memory management for real-time gameplay.
  • Contribute to all phases of development, from design to deployment, ensuring robust and scalable AI agents. Collaborate with game designers to integrate autonomous agents into existing game engines.

Qualifications:

  • Experience with Python and C++ for AI and game development.
  • Knowledge of LLM fine-tuning, reinforcement learning, and multi-agent systems. Familiarity with game engines and AI frameworks
  • Understanding of NLP, and planning algorithms.
  • A BS in Computer Science, AI, or related field with experience in game AI or LLMs.
